WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START MAKING SNOWBOARDS?
I wanted to make Powder turns on something I made
WHAT WAS YOUR PROCESS OF LEARNING THIS CRAFT?
I was a finish carpenter, and have worked in a lot of different parts of the construction world, so I can read a tape and use a router. When I got an internship at NeverSummer I thought It would turn into more of an office type position, but I just stayed in the factory side and repaired boards. Along the way I learned all of the pieces that make up a snowboard. Then I got the fuck back to Montana.
WHICH SKILL WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT TO MASTER?

HAVE YOU CREATED ANY FUNCTIONAL DESIGNS THAT ARE UNIQUE TO YOUR BRAND?
Yes lots of them, Short fat pow boards, tapered cruiser boards, all mtn boards with unique camber profiles. I build a lot of customs and one offs in the winter so everyone of them is unique in one way or another.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT MAKING CUSTOM SNOWBOARDS?
The first time you ride a new board in powder is pretty fun.
As far as an actual task I like when making boards? I guess I like using razor blades to clean the insert holes and then run the blade down the sides to smooth out the topsheet. That’s pretty fun too.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR GREATEST CHALLENGE, AND WHAT HAS IT TAUGHT YOU?
Nothing really sticks out as a great challenge, I guess writing this is the only challenging thing I can think of right now. So basically, If it needs to be done just do it.
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR NOTICE SNOWBOARDS?
To keep growing the company, and continue to make incredible custom snowboards and wakesurfers.

Aesthitically the Free Spirit.
IF YOU COULD RIDE ONLY ONE RUN FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHICH WOULD IT BE?
Thankfully that’s not the case! But if it was…. I would ride Jackson tram laps, Cody Bowl to Rock Springs.
Can I ride stuff that doesn’t have names still? and what snowmobiles?
